Naturopathy or naturopathic medicine is a form of alternative medicine employing a wide array of "natural" treatments, including homeopathy, herbalism, and acupuncture, as well as diet and lifestyle counseling.
Naturopathy, also called naturopathic medicine, is a complete medical system-one of the systems of therapeutic healing and beliefs that have evolved over a period of long time in different cultures and parts of the world. Naturopathy is rooted in health care methodologies that were well-liked in Europe, especially in Germany, in the 19th century, but it also includes therapies (both ancient and modern) from other traditions. In naturopathy, the emphasis is on supporting health rather than combating disease.
Naturopathy today is part of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) in USA. A central belief in naturopathy is that nature has a healing power (a principle called Vis edicatrix naturae).
Naturopathy is now one of the systems of Medicine recognized by Govt. of India and various state governments, as per reorganization of new system of Medicine Bill of 2005 of Govt. of India.
The human body has the ability to maintain (or return to) a state of balance and health, and to heal themselves. Practitioners of naturopathy prefer to use treatment approaches that they consider to be the most natural and least invasive, instead of using drugs and more invasive procedures.
Our endeavor is to provide holistic health care under Reiki Healing banner. We realize that our clients also seek naturopathic care for various health-related purposes, including primary care, support of wellness, and treatment of diseases and conditions (often chronic ones). Naturopathy focuses upon treatments considered natural and rigorous research on naturopathic medicine as a whole medical system is taking place all over the world now.
Although a seemingly conspicuous statement that would be echoed by any healthcare practitioner, the saying attributed to the traditional physician Hippocrates, that physicians should "do no harm" to their patients, has specific resonance in naturopathy. As prevalent in most health-care professions, in Naturopathy our team uses exploratory methods and healing modalities that do the least harm to the patient.
Our team of Naturopathic practitioners chooses therapies with the intent to keep harmful side effects to a minimum and not suppress symptoms
Our team main approach is to make the patients understand the fact that if they use their rational abilities to bring their behavior into harmony with cosmic order then, they would automatically heal their bodies unless prevented from doing so. By working with this healing power of nature rather than trying to impose a treatment without regard for the person's own intrinsic ability to heal, our naturopathic practitioner seeks to assist the body, mind and spirit of the patient to bring about the desired healing.
For every problem, there is a cause. Our expert team of Naturopathic practitioners is more interested in seeking, identifying and treating the cause than in treating the symptoms of illness. If the symptom of a disease is temporarily eliminated or suppressed but the underlying cause is neglected, then the problem will simply return, or could even occur in worse manner. The cause of illness must be identified and eliminated if true healing is to occur. This often require thorough examination of the patient’s way of life, diet and vital force. Our Practitioners seek to identify and treat the causes of a disease or condition, rather than its symptoms. They believe that symptoms are signs that the body is trying to fight disease, adapt to it, or recover from it.
Our Naturopathic practitioners work with a holistic understanding of human health. They recognize that humans are most likely to experience optimal health when their physical, psychological, spiritual and environmental dimensions are holistically integrated. People who exhibit integrated health are better able to realize their goals and actualize their potential. They are more likely to be in harmony within themselves, with others and with their environment. As each patient is different, our team of naturopathic practitioner gives personalized treatments to meet the unique needs of each patient. We believe a person’s health is affected by many factors, such as physical, mental, emotional, genetic, environmental, and social ones. Our Practitioners consider all these factors when choosing therapies and tailor treatment to each patient.
Our Naturopathic practitioners teach the principles of healthy living and preventive health care. They teach patients the causes of illnesses so that the patients are better able to avoid recurrences. Furthermore, patients are involved in the therapeutic process so that they can engage in their own recovery and learn to take responsibility for their future health. This holistic approach between our practitioner and patient empower the patient, which provides further benefit. Our Practitioners teach ways of living that they consider most healthy and most likely to prevent illness.
A first visit of a patient tour naturopathic practitioner is usually an extended appointment. The doctor will interview the patient at length about his health history, reasons for the visit, and lifestyle (such as diet, stress, alcohol and tobacco use, sleep, and exercise). The practitioner may perform examinations and do other diagnostic and screening tests. Toward the end of the appointment, a management plan is set up to address the patient’s general health and problems with illness.
Referrals to our healing services through Reiki can be made as per requirement. Practitioners may deliver some naturopathic treatments in their offices, such as hydrotherapy or manipulation. The examples of additional treatments are as under:
